Through practical, hands-on training, you will gain the essential skills to provide first aid to infants and children in a variety of situations that commonly occur in education and care settings:
✤ Signs and symptoms to recognise when someone is unconscious and not breathing
✤ CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on an infant, child and adult
✤ How to competently use a defibrillator on an infant, child and adult
✤ How to complete an incident report
✤ First Aid treatment for anaphylaxis, asthma, choking, unconscious breathing, bleeding and shock, snake bites, spider bites, sprains and fractures, seizures and epilepsy (including febrile convulsions), poisoning and toxic substances.
All training is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, ensuring the best possible outcomes until professional help arrives.
