What you will learn

The full HLTSS00068 covers several core competencies through practical and theoretical training. Typical topics and capabilities include:

 Providing advanced first aid and resuscitation, including CPR and oxygen therapy.

 Advanced emergency response skills (e.g., managing significant injuries and medical incidents).

✤ Using specialised equipment such as defibrillators and oxygen resuscitation gear.

 Coordinating and documenting emergency responses and communicating with emergency services.

 Assessing first-aid resources, maintaining first-aid rooms and kits, and planning for workplace first aid needs

Certification

On successful completion you receive a Statement of Attainment for the skill set (and included units).

CPR and advanced resuscitation skills typically require annual refreshers, and full first aid units are usually refreshed every 3 years to stay current.

Duration

To complete HLTSS00068 depends on the course format (in-person or blended) but typical options include:

 6 to 8 hours face-to-face (full-day course) including practical assessments.

 If doing a blended course: theory is done online (pre-learning), then approximately 3.5 hours (or similar) of face-to-face practical assessment.

Payment Terms

 Payment can be made via direct deposit after booking.

✤ A $30 booking fee is required to secure your position.

 A separate agreement between the client and Ascent First Aid Training determines group booking payment terms.

 Full payment is required prior to course commencement.

 Certificates will only be issued once full payment has been received by Ascent First Aid Training.
